Trauma Informed Eating Disorder Dietitian
Melbourne & Telehealth Australia Wide

Thank you for considering me as part of your patient’s treatment team.

I’m a Melbourne based dietitian with 20 years experience, and  established my practice in 2014. I support individuals experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating, and complex relationships with food, often alongside mental health, trauma, chronic and “invisible” illness and neurodivergence. My approach is trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and grounded in a non-diet approach, with a focus on gentle, collaborative care.

If you’re unsure whether someone might be a good fit, you’re always welcome to reach out.

who i work with

I support young people and adults aged 17+ years with:

  • Eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder)
  • Longstanding eating disorders and recovery
  • Disordered eating and chronic dieting
  • ARFID
  • Body image concerns
  • Neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism) alongside eating difficulties
  • Complex mental health presentations

Clients I see are often navigating multiple and intersecting experiences which add another layer to someone’s relationship to food such as:

  • Chronic illness such as CFS/ME, MCAS, hEDS, POTS
  • PMOS (formerly PCOS)
  • Gut symptoms and conditions such as IBS
  • GLP-1 related challenges
  • Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S)
  • Endometriosis

Many of my clients are those who may have felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsupported in more traditional or directive environments.

They may benefit from a slower, more relational approach that prioritises safety, autonomy, and trust.

my approach

My approach is grounded in a:

  • Trauma-informed framework
  • Weight-inclusive, non-diet approach
  • Collaborative and client-led pace
  • Nervous system–aware lens
  • Focus on safety, trust, and relationship-building

Food and eating is never separated from the patient’s broader context. I consider emotional, sensory, cognitive, and environmental factors that may be shaping eating patterns.

I aim to create a space where clients feel met with curiosity rather than judgement, and where change is supported gently and sustainably.

when to refer

You might consider referring if someone is:

  • Struggling to eat regularly or adequately
  • Experiencing anxiety, distress, or rigidity around food and eating
  • Engaging in binge eating, restriction, or compensatory behaviours
  • Feeling stuck in recovery or their relationship to food
  • Managing eating alongside trauma, burnout, or neurodivergence
  • Needing more gentle or flexible care than previous experiences
  • Would benefit from a harm minimisation approach to their eating
